VEGAN FOOD TOUR
Slovak traditional cuisine is still widely associated with heavy, animal-based dishes. Yet over the past years, a distinct vegan food scene has quietly taken root here—one that respects tradition while confidently experimenting with modern ideas. This tour offers an look at both. During this four-hour walking experience, with friendly, local licensed guide, you’ll explore Bratislava’s city center through a carefully curated selection of local spots, from casual vegan bistros to an award-winning specialty coffee shop. The group is intentionally small (maximum eight guests), allowing time to sit down, eat properly, and talk—about food, culture, Bratislava, Slovakia, and everyday life beyond the tourist surface.
The menu reflects this duality. You’ll taste traditional Slovak dishes reinterpreted in a fully vegan way, alongside modern plant-based plates that reveal how contemporary Bratislava cooks think and work. Portions are generous, and this is very much a full-meal experience rather than a tasting tour. The tour is not designed only for vegans. It’s equally suited for curious eaters, flexitarians, and anyone interested in a healthier, more conscious way of eating who wants to understand what vegan food actually tastes like—beyond assumptions or labels.

FAQ
Do you accommodate vegans and vegetarians?
Yes! We can easily adapt for vegetarians. Vegans might find it a bit trickier, since traditional Slovak cuisine relies heavily on dairy, but don’t worry — just email us your requirements in advance, and we’ll make sure to prepare something delicious for you too.
Lactose-intolerant, celiac, or other dietary needs – is the tour for me?
Short answer is yes. We can accommodate most dietary restrictions with some advance notice. Just let us know your needs by email, and we’ll prepare something suitable so you can fully enjoy the tour. We always make sure everybody’s happy. Just expect a different menu.
If you’re more of these things at once, write us an email or WhatsApp us. We will let you know if we can work with your restrictions.
What should I wear or bring?
Just bring a pair of comfortable shoes, a good mood, and for the food tour — an empty stomach!
How much walking is involved?
We run tours, not death marches. So we walk some, but not much. If you do have mobility issues, please let us know. We will work something out – not a problem. (Also, a general rule, our groups walk as fast as the slowest member.)
For general questions, please see our full FAQs or write us an email.
