An evening at Bratislava’s Christmas markets, with a local who knows what to order.
We begin indoors, in the warmth of a favourite local restaurant, over a bowl of the sour cabbage soup that Slovak families eat on Christmas Eve. From there we walk out into the markets as the lights come on, stopping for the food and drink that locals queue for and visitors usually walk past.
Along the way you’ll hear how Slovaks actually spend Christmas, which traditions survived four decades of communism, and why the fish in the bathtub story is not a joke. 3 hours, 8 guests at most, and everything you eat and drink is included.

Group size: From 2 to 8 guests, but if you have a larger group or a team-building event, just email us.
Start times: This tour starts at 5 PM. (Email us if this does not work for you).
When: Daily, November 27 to January 3. No tours from December 24 to 26, when the markets wind down for the holidays.
Cancellation: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the tour. No payment is taken in advance, so there is nothing to refund.
Tours run in all weather, rain or shine. We only cancel in truly extreme conditions.

No. The tour goes mostly on flat streets and squares, making it easy and relaxed for everyone.
Are food and drinks included in the tour price?
Yes, all traditional Slovak Christmas food and drinks specified in the itinerary are fully included in the price. You won’t need to pay anything extra during the experience. We highly recommend arriving with a light appetite so you can fully enjoy the local flavors!
Who will be my guide?
You will be exploring the city directly with me. My name is Jakub, I am a licensed local guide, and I run Go Bratislava.
